Dawlati
A hiring platform connecting UAE nationals with Emirati professionals across a range of services, built on NestJS and PostgreSQL with 99.9% uptime in production.

The problem
Generic hiring platforms don't work for a niche, identity-bound market. UAE nationals looking specifically to hire other Emirati professionals needed a focused space, not a noisy general marketplace with no way to filter for that intent.
Our approach
We scoped Dawlati as a single-purpose platform rather than a configurable general marketplace. Profiles, listings, and hiring flows were all built around verifying and surfacing Emirati professionals specifically, with the data model and access rules built around that constraint from day one.
What we built
A NestJS API backed by PostgreSQL, written end to end in TypeScript for type safety across the stack. The system handles profile verification, service listings, and the hiring workflow between nationals and professionals, deployed and operated as a production service.
The outcome
The platform has run in production at 99.9% uptime, serving its niche without the overhead of a general-purpose marketplace. The constrained scope kept the system small enough to operate reliably while still covering the full hiring lifecycle.
